Oil prices rise as US-Iran peace talks stall again
Brent crude rose 2% to $109.33 a barrel and US-traded crude increased 2% to $96.78 after the US cancelled plans for a second round of peace talks with Iran. Global energy supplies face pressure as the Strait of Hormuz, through which about a fifth of the world's crude oil and LNG normally passes, has been effectively closed by the conflict.
