Prof Wagacha Maina urged higher education institutions to move beyond classroom theory and provide students with practical exposure to business, mentorship, financing and industry networks. The University of Nairobi's young entrepreneurs' incubation programme, implemented by the African Women Studies Centre with collaboration from multiple faculties and Equity Group, aims to bridge the gap between university training and the realities of starting and running a business.
