Wetang'ula warns young politicians rushing into presidency race
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula has cautioned young politicians against seeking the presidency without extensive political experience and a proven track record of public service, remarks apparently directed at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna who is positioning himself for the 2027 presidential race. Wetang'ula cited Kenya's former presidents—Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta, and William Ruto—as examples of leaders who held various political positions before ascending to State House.
