Venezuela twin earthquakes kill 5,069, IMF releases reconstruction funds
Twin earthquakes of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 struck Venezuela on June 24, killing 5,069 people and injuring 16,740, with the worst damage in the coastal state of La Guaira. The country has drawn $346 million from the International Monetary Fund for reconstruction efforts.
