Court rulings and defections weaken Jubilee Party prospects
A September 14 court ruling barring retired Presidents from holding political office for more than six months after leaving State House, and a Political Parties Disputes Tribunal decision quashing the appointment of Koitalel Ole Kenta as Secretary General, have dealt the Jubilee Party significant political setbacks ahead of the 2027 general elections.
