According to the National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse, about 4.7 million Kenyans aged 15–65 are currently using at least one drug or substance of abuse, with the Coast region recording the highest prevalence at 29.3 percent and Mombasa County at 34.4 percent.
