Senate scrutinizes Nairobi County over pending bills, procurement gaps
The Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Budget held a session with Nairobi City County Governor Johnson Sakaja, questioning the county over rising pending bills, procurement irregularities, and failure to comply with statutory reporting requirements. Governor Sakaja attributed earlier reporting gaps in the 2022/2023 financial year to institutional transition challenges and said the county has since corrected the deficiencies.
