The High Court has temporarily stopped the Kenya School of Law and Council of Legal Education from implementing disputed admission criteria for the 2027/2028 Advocates Training Programme, after certifying as urgent a petition challenging the legality and constitutionality of the new requirements. The court has ordered the respondents to preserve the status quo and scheduled an inter partes hearing for October 13, 2026.
